After completing grammar school in Maribor, Karmen Celam headed for Ljubljana, ready to face new challenges. The first and foremost was her Communication Science studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, which were then enriched by her participation in a student exchange programme in Spain and attendance of a summer school in Iceland. Not only did such experience broaden her horizons, she also learnt the basics of cross-cultural cooperation and dialogue. She believes that work is essential for personal development, and that is why she started to obtain work experience very early. She joined the marketing department of Red Bull, where she handled promotional activities at first, and later on became an assistant to the brand manager. Her work continued at the Protocol of the Republic of Slovenia, where she led and coordinated foreign delegations at informal meetings during the Slovenian presidency of the EU. Then she assumed the position of project manager at Pan PR agency. After graduating, she joined Propiar public relations agency, where each day is different and unpredictable. She enjoys spending her free time in good company, in a gym or somewhere abroad.
